Young INGRES

Our mission

Young INGRES is the group for young talents in intellectual property law and forms an addition to the established and “time-honoured” INGRES. Our aim is to offer a platform for all intellectual property law enthusiasts. The focus is to promote the exchange between young IP talents and to integrate young IP talents in the IP community.

Are you interested in the field of IP? Have you just started a career in IP? Or are you already an experienced colleague? Young INGRES creates a space where everyone can easily meet other IP practitioners and researchers and thereby create valuable relationships and gain further insight into the world of IP law. We welcome students, young professionals, and everyone who is interested in networking and exchanging ideas in intellectual property law.

Our format

We will hold two events per year:

• A series of seminars, which will be conducted as a roadshow through Switzerland, each seminar at a different company, law firm, agency, or court. The seminars take place in the evenings.
• An IP Pub Quiz where participants have a chance to get together and connect over IP trivia.

• Following the successful kick off in April 2025, Young INGRES started a Roadshow with its first stop in Zurich on 30 October 2025, hosted by Pestalozzi Attorneys at Law, focusing on current issues at the intersection of intellectual property and competition law. • The kick-off event, marking the beginning of our event series, took place on 3 April 2025 in Zurich. A detailed conference review has now been published on our website and can be viewed here.

Membership

• As an INGRES member you are automatically part of Young INGRES.
• As a non-INGRES member, you are also welcome to join our events.
• There is no age limit for participation. Our program focuses on individuals at the early stages of their careers (below partner-level), but we welcome everyone, from young professionals to seasoned experts.
